Graduates of English philology, teaching specialisation represent a high level of humanist competence and show a general knowledge of literature, culture and history of English-speaking countries, as well as general education in linguistics on a level appropriate for the requirements of BA programme. Apart from the above, the graduate is a specialist in practical English and, upon obtaining the title of Bachelor of Arts, is prepared to teach English in kindergartens and elementary schools, as well as to perform all didactic, educational and tutelary tasks of a given institution.

Philology, English philology, BA programme, translation specialization

 

Graduates of English philology, translation specialisation represent a high level of humanist competence and show practical and theoretical competence in translation and interpretation (simultaneous and consecutive) on a level appropriate for the requirements of BA programme.  The graduate has good basic knowledge of cultural realities of English-speaking countries necessary in the process of translation and interpersonal exchange, as well as basic knowledge in general and contrastive linguistics, necessary in the process of translation. The graduate is prepared to perform the profession of translator in general English as well as in selected specialised varieties of the language.
